A suspect has been nabbed for knifing a worker in a Manhattan juice shop, leaving him in critical condition, police said Wednesday.
Chala Jamison, 23, was arrested Monday for an unrelated burglary and was then charged with attempted murder for the April 12 attack inside Juice Island on Third Ave. near E. 61st St.
Chala, who lives several blocks away from the store, walked in and argued with the 39-year-old worker, stabbing him in the head, neck back and hands with a knife she grabbed from the counter.
Medics rushed the critically-wounded victim to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
The United Bodegas of America identified the victim as Luis Morocho Vasquez, an Ecuadorian immigrant, and said he’s since been released from the hospital. The group released shocking images of him bloodied in his hospital bed after the attack.
