A Las Vegas police report details the bizarre 2015 attack where Brooklyn U-Haul rampage suspect Weng Sor was busted for slugging and stabbing his brother inside their mother’s home — with cops putting the suspect in cuffs shortly after he fled the scene.
According to the report, Sor — now behind bars for the Monday morning Brooklyn rampage where he allegedly killed one person and injured eight more with his rental truck — would visit his mother every day for a meal at the Vegas home where she lived with his sibling.
He arrived at her residence on Oct. 23, 2015, with an argument between the brothers ensuing after the mom went outside to check the mail just after 1 p.m., the arrest report says.
“Weng struck (the brother) with an unknown object or possibly his first, causing a laceration to the right side of (the brother’s) head above his ear,” read the report. “The violence escalated further at which time Weng stabbed (his brother) in his back/side area with an unknown type of knife.”
The mother returned to find Weng holding the knife and his brother “bleeding profusely” before grabbing the phone to call for help, with the suspect bolting from the house on foot, the report said. He surrendered after receiving a phone call 20 minutes later, apparently made by the mom, with a Las Vegas officer then speaking to the suspect.
“I informed Weng that we need him to come back to the residence in order to give his side of the story,” said the officer’s report. “Weng agreed and came back on foot. As he approached, he produced a small approximate 4″ silver folding knife and opened it while pointing to his head with his free hand.”
He finally threw the knife to the ground and was placed in handcuffs, the report said. The dispute was possibly sparked by a pocket knife earlier left at the home by Sor.
The defendant was arrested this past Monday after his terrifying 60-minute ride through Brooklyn, with Sor telling police he began hallucinating and saw a “an invisible object” coming at his vehicle before the attack.
