A Wasco man was booked Tuesday on suspicion of six felonies related to stealing copper wire from a business.
Mark Ybarra, 37, stole the prized metal from a vacant business on the 1000 block of H Street in Wasco. He was found with a “large amount of copper wire” and was also arrested in connection to other warrants, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office reported in a news release.
KCSO declined to release the name of the business.
For the alleged copper wire thefts, Ybarra was booked on suspicion of second-degree burglary, buying the metal illegally, grand theft and other charges.
