A 33-year-old man shot in the head was rushed by medics to nearby Brooklyn Hospital Center, where he died a short time later.
A 21-year-old man struck in the left hand made it on his own to the same hospital and is expected to recover.
There were no immediate arrests.
Less than three hours earlier in the Bronx, a 40-year-old man was shot twice in the right foot and once in the right leg at Westchester Ave. and E. 156th St.
The victim was able to get to Lincoln Hospital by private means and is in stable condition. It was not immediately clear if he was the intended target.
