A 15-year-old who was missing from New Hampshire was fatally shot in Providence early Saturday morning, the police said.
At around 2:30 a.m., police were called to 53 March St., where they found the teen shot, Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez said. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Perez said homicide detectives are investigating the shooting, which appears to have been targeted. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
“It’s an extremely sad loss of a young life in our city due to senseless gun violence,” Perez said.
