An unknown person shot two teenagers, killing one, just before 6 p.m. Saturday evening in the Grand Crossing neighborhood, Chicago police said.
The 16-year-old and 17-year-old boys were outside in the 6400 block of South King Drive when they were shot, according to police. The 16-year-old was transported to the University of Chicago Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound in his right arm.
The 17-year-old, who had been shot in the chest, was also transported to the University of Chicago in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
Area One detectives are investigating.
