A 14-year-old boy was stabbed in the torso on Wednesday just two blocks from the Brooklyn school he attends with his suspected attacker, according to police.
The victim was in stable condition at Maimonides Hospital, where he was rushed after the stabbing shortly before 3 p.m. near a gas station on Coney Island and Ditmas avenues. That was just two blocks from IS 62, where both he and the attacker are enrolled.
Cops did not specify what led to the incident, but said the student who used the knife is known to police. The suspect fled the scene, and there have been no arrests.
The Education Department did not immediately comment.
