Metropolitan Transit Authority Police have released surveillance photos of two alleged suspects they believe were involved in a shooting at Union Station in New Haven that left a man in critical condition.
MTA police received a report of shots being fired at the train station at about 8:35 p.m. on Wednesday and found that a man had been shot multiple times, police said.
Investigators learned that the shooting allegedly followed a fight on a train between the victim and two individuals that continued onto the platform between tracks 12 and 14. The man was shot on the platform and then got onto a nearby train as the suspects ran off, police said.
Medics arrived shortly thereafter and took the man to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
MTA police are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspects and their whereabouts. Anyone with information is asked to call MTA police at 718-361-2212. All callers may remain anonymous, police said.
