A teen boy was shot and killed Sunday morning in Chicago’s Douglas neighborhood, according to police.
The boy, who has not yet been identified, was approximately 15 or 16 years old, police said.
Officers found the boy as they responded to a call reporting gunshots in the 3700 block of South Michigan Avenue at 9:12 a.m.
He was transported to Comer Children’s Hospital for a gunshot wound to the chest and was later pronounced dead, police said.
The boy was shot and killed several blocks from Guaranteed Rate Field on the other side of the Dan Ryan Expressway, a few hours before the White Sox game began.
