Two women were shot and wounded after one got into an argument with the gunman in a Bronx bank, police said Thursday.
The shooter was arguing with a 44-year-old woman inside a TD Bank on the Grand Concourse near E. 188th St. about 1:50 p.m. Wednesday when the spat spilled outside.
As the argument continued down the block, the gunman opened fire, sending pedestrians running for cover.
The woman was hit in the leg, arm and stomach, cops said. A 52-year-old woman standing nearby not involved in the argument was shot in the leg.
“She was waiting by the bus,” Solange Dassou, 36, a security guard waiting at a bus stop when the shooting started, said of the older victim. “There were two shots and she was down.”
Medics took both women to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
“I ran into the store and hid in the corner. I had to escape,” Dassou said. “I was scared because he could have shot me. I’m shaking.
The shooter, wearing a tan hat and light-colored sweater, got away and has not been caught.
