A 14-year veteran of the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office has resigned after being charged with crimes related to driving under the influence.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, Larry Wall, 66, has been charged with one count of driving while intoxicated with a child and one count of reckless care for a child. The sheriff’s office said Chesapeake police officers responded to calls of a suspected DUI at about 11:15 p.m. on Saturday at a home on Kentucky Trail.
Wall was arrested and has since been released on bond. He was suspended immediately pending the results of the investigation and later resigned.
