Surveillance images were released Thursday of the masked gunman who fatally shot a 26-year-old man outside a Brooklyn bodega.
The shooter, wearing a gray hoodie and a ski mask, opened fire on Dion Reid outside the Francena Mini Market on Sterling Place near Buffalo Ave. in Crown Heights around 2:10 p.m. Monday, cops said.
Surveillance footage released by the NYPD Thursday shows him with gun in hand. Cops are asking the public’s help identifying him and tracking him down.
Reid was shot in the ankle and hip, piercing an artery. He ran into the store for help.
Medics rushed him to an area hospital, but he could not be saved.
A neighbor recalled hearing two shots ring out.
“There was a guy cringing back there,” said the witness, who did not want to be named. “I was just leaving. Then that happened and I got out of here.”
The gunman ran off.
The suspect is described as about 20 and 5-foot-9 with a slim build. In addition to the ski mask and hoodie, he was wearing a black jacket, blue sweatpants and black sneakers.
