Cops are searching for a non-verbal autistic teen visiting New York City from California after he got separated from his parents outside Manhattan’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral, police said Thursday.
Connor Lian, 16, who answers to the nickname “Red,” was last seen outside the iconic church on Fifth Ave. and E. 50th St. about 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Connor and his family are staying with relatives in Flushing, Queens, while they visit.
On Thursday, NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell asked the public to immediately report Connor’s whereabouts to authorities if he’s seen. Police released a photo of him.
He’s described as 5-foot-6 and about 125 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
He was last seen wearing a gray puffer coat with a blue water bottle in one of the coat pockets, a black long-sleeve shirt, brown shoes and a tan-colored golf hat with a “121st U.S. Open-Torry Pines” logo on it.
