An argument over a seat sparked a stabbing on a subway car in Manhattan, police said Friday.
The 45-year-old victim was stabbed in the abdomen after he got into an argument about a seat at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday on the northbound 5 train.
Further details were not immediately available but police said that as the argument grew heated the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the victim.
The suspect got off the train in East Harlem at the 125th St station and fled to the street. He is still being sought.
The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.
