Two teens were stabbed outside a Massachusetts high school shortly before police arrested three people linked to that violence at an area hospital, where another assault occurred.
Law enforcement officials said the stabbings occurred after classes were dismissed at Brockton High School Friday. A pair of juveniles were taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center, according to Boston station WCVB.
Shortly before 3 p.m., less than an hour after the stabbings, police responded to an assault-and-battery call at the hospital. The three people taken into custody there included the alleged suspect behind the school stabbings.
The stabbing victims reportedly suffered non life-threatening injuries. An investigation is ongoing.
Boston 25 News reports security has been stepped up at a Brockton music festival taking place over the weekend. A police spokesman said Friday’s violence “was not random.”
Brockton is located roughly 25 miles south of Boston and home to roughly 104,000 residents.
