Justin Bieber has canceled the remaining dates on his long-postponed “Justice World Tour.”
Bieber, who turned 29 Wednesday, initially postponed the international tour in June 2022, a month after it began. The singer cited his diagnosis of Ramsay-Hunt syndrome, which left his face partially paralyzed, as the reason. Bieber resumed touring and played six shows in Europe before going on hiatus again in September to make his “health a priority.”
“I’m going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better,” Bieber said at the time.
The announcement the shows would not be rescheduled was made on a verified Twitter account for the tour that encouraged fans to seek out refunds from their point of purchase.
London-based fans of the Canadian singer received an email from AXS informing them that an upcoming show had been canceled.
“We regret to inform you that the Justin Bieber shows planned to take place at The O2 arena have been cancelled. We understand you will be disappointed and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Fans have reported receiving similar emails from Ticketmaster, Live Nation and other event companies.
The Ticketmaster website lists all tour dates in the U.S., Ireland, France, Poland, Australia, Denmark and the Czech Republic as canceled.
The “Love Yourself” singer’s website has also scrubbed all upcoming dates from the “Tour” section.
The tour cancelation follows Bieber’s $ 200 million sale of his catalog — another indication Bieber may be planning to take a significant amount of time away from his career.
Ramsay-Hunt occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve. The condition has been linked to stress and reduced immune response.
