Amber Voight, 39, is charged with felony hit-and-run in the death of Mark Sweatt, 48, according to a news release. Voight’s 2003 Honda Civic allegedly struck Sweatt as he crossed the 1900 block of Skibo Road near Cliffdale Road about 5:20 a.m., then fled the scene, the release said.

Officers found the Civic in the parking lot of the Walmart at 1550 Skibo Road, about a five-minute drive from the scene of the crash, using city cameras and license plate reader technology, according to the release. Voight was arrested at 7:30 a.m., Caldwell said.
Voight was booked into the Cumberland County jail with bail set at $60,000, police said. Anyone with information in the crash is asked to contact Officer C. Biggerstaff at 910-751-1382 or Crimestoppers at 910-483-8477.
