Allison Holker has filed for control of her late husband Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ estate, two months after his passing.
The petition was submitted Wednesday, US Weekly reported. Under California law, Holker, 35, must prove her connection to her deceased spouse to legally obtain his half of their joint estate.
Boss died by suicide in December. The DJ, dancer and producer, whose popularity grew during his time on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” did not leave behind a will, which is why Holker filed the legal paperwork.
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us,” Holker Boss said in a statement to People shortly after his death. “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
Holker and Boss, both professional dancers, met in 2010 while working on season 7 of the television show “So You Think You Can Dance.”
They tied the knot in 2013 and had two children together, son Maddox and daughter Zaia. Boss also adopted Wesley, Holker’s daughter from a previous relationship.
