A Honda driver struck and killed a pedestrian on a Brooklyn street on Friday afternoon, cops said.
The 49-year-old man was in the roadway at Keap St. and S. 5th St. in South Williamsburg when the Honda CR-V driver struck him and then sped off at about 12:25 p.m., police said.
Medics rushed the pedestrian to Woodhull Hospital where he was initially in critical condition. He died from his injuries at about 1:00 p.m., cops said.
Responding officers later tracked down the abandoned Honda CR-V about a mile away from the crash scene, on Humboldt St. near Meserole St.
The driver remains at large. The investigation was still underway Friday afternoon.
