The NYPD released photos of six protesters wanted for jumping onto the tracks in an Upper East Side subway station during a chaotic protest against the chokehold death of Jordan Neely.
Cops are asking the public’s help identifying and finding the suspects, who will likely be charged with criminal trespass.
They were part of a crowd of protesters who jumped to the tracks, blocking an incoming train, in the Lexington Ave. and E. 63rd St. station Saturday evening.
Police arrested 13 people at the scene after a group took over a Manhattan subway station and jumped onto the train bed, cops said.
The protest brought a busy Q train station to a halt Saturday night.
One was released after getting a summons and nine got desk appearance tickets. The other three went through the system, all accused of assaulting police officers.
A 29-year-old man allegedly repeatedly slammed an NYPD inspector’s arm with a station exit gate. A 25-year-old woman is accused of blocking an incoming Q train, refusing to get off the tracks, then knocking a cop to the ground as she resisted arrest. And a 42-year-old woman allegedly punched a cop.
Neely, who was homeless and mentally ill, was killed last Monday inside the Broadway-Lafayette station.
Police said 911 callers described him as acting erratically, throwing trash and saying he wanted to die.
Daniel Penny, a 24-year-old Marine, intervened and subdued Neely in a fatal chokehold caught on video. No charges have been filed, though the case is expected to be presented to a grand jury.
Anyone with information on the wanted suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
