An infant and a man were shot on Friday night in west Phoenix.
Just before midnight, officers responded to several locations near the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road, finding a man and an infant with gunshot wounds, Phoenix police said. Both were taken to the hospital, their injuries are not life-threatening, police added.
A preliminary investigation has found the man was in an altercation with two other men wherein he was shot, while the infant was with family in a separate location and was struck with gunfire from the shooting, according to police.
Police said they are still investigating the identity of the suspects, police said.
