Crime Alert Berks County, a citizen crime-fighting group, is offering cash rewards of up to $10,000 to anyone supplying tips that lead to an arrest in this case or any other case or crime.
Tipsters with crime information can call 877-373-9913 anytime or contact Crime Alert at its website at www.alertberks.org or via the AlertBerks smartphone app. No one will ask the name of the caller, who will be assigned a code number.

Location: Walmart, 100 Crossings Blvd., Caernarvon Township
Police synopsis: Caernarvon police gave the following account: Three unidentified males were involved in a series of scams at the Walmart store near Morgantown. Two of them completed a series of transactions with a sales associate. Each time they appeared to instruct her to use the “cash” function on the register, typing in the amount, while they imitated using a payment card at the card reader (the card was never fully inserted or swiped). They purchased gift cards, gaming platforms and a video game totaling about $2,500. The people of interest in this case arrived and departed in a dark-colored sedan of unknown make/model.
