A woman who showed up at a Staten Island police precinct shackled and handcuffed told shocked cops her boyfriend had repeatedly raped her — prompting a search of his home that turned up a pipe bomb and chemicals, police sources said Thursday.
The 25-year-old victim shuffled into the 120th Precinct stationhouse wearing leg shackles and handcuffs Monday night.
After cops freed her, she told NYPD detectives her 30-year-old boyfriend had repeatedly beaten and raped her while holding her captive in a a bus that had been converted into the mobile home where they were living, sources said.
The boyfriend, Alexander Isaac, was arrested Tuesday and charged with rape, criminal sex act, unlawful imprisonment and kidnapping. An order of protection was issued and bail was set at $200,000 cash or a $700,000 bond.
Court papers paint a harrowing picture.
At 11 a.m. Monday, Isaac allegedly shackled the victim’s legs, handcuffed her behind her back, wrapped a T-shirt around her mouth then raped her. He punched her in the face, causing her eye to bleed, slammed her against a wall and whipped her thighs with a belt, prosecutors allege.
After the attack, Isaac left the bus and locked the door behind him, trapping her inside for about nine hours, court papers say.
Around 9:50 p.m., she managed to escape the bus and was about four blocks from the NYPD stationhouse when Isaac caught up to her, prosecutors say.
“You made it worse for yourself,” Isaac said of her attempted escape, according to court papers. He hauled her back to the bus, where he cuffed her to a bed post, court papers charge.
She somehow freed herself again and this time made it to the stationhouse.
After hearing her account, cops with a search warrant descended on the bus where the couple was living in a lot on Central Ave. in Brighton Heights.
