Anderson Lee Aldrich, the suspect in the mass shooting at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs last year, pleaded guilty Monday in the attack that left five people dead.
The 23-year-old Aldrich pleaded guilty to five counts of murder and 46 counts of attempted murder in the Club Q massacre, and now faces life in prison.
“I intentionally and after deliberation caused the death of each victim,” Aldrich said in court.
Aldrich pleaded no contest to two counts of bias-motivated crime.
In a report published earlier this month, Aldrich told the AP, “I have to take responsibility for what happened.”
