An off-duty transit cop ended up in a holding cell after she was busted for drunk driving in upper Manhattan, police said Friday.
Cops found Ofc. Iliana Quezada, 37, drunk behind the wheel of a car at about 9 p.m. Thursday, cops said.
The off-duty officer’s car was idling when police arrived, cops said. She had not gotten into an accident and no injuries were reported.
The seven-year NYPD veteran appeared drunk when cops questioned her, but she refused to take a Breathalyzer test, cops said.
Police took her into custody, charging her with drunk driving and refusal to take a Breathalyzer test. Her arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court was pending.
Quezada joined the NYPD in 2016 and has been working in the NYPD Transit Bureau’s Anti-Terrorism Unit since 2018, according to city records.
