A man is dead and two people in custody following a reported shooting in Dayton Saturday morning, according to Dayton Police.
Around 11:25 a.m. crews were called to the 400 block of Linden Avenue to reports of a person in the building with a gun, according to initial reports.
Dayton Police officers told News Center 7 one man is confirmed dead and two suspects are in custody. One was arrested in Dayton and another in Centerville.
Officers say it started out as a fight and shots were fired.
Dayton SWAT and the FBI were also called to the scene.
Dayton Police said they evacuated five citizens from the building not related to the incident.
Dayton Police wrote on social media around 6 p.m. that the area surrounding the 400 block of Linden Avenue is now safe.
“Police are still on scene investigating a shooting incident, so please continued to avoid the area,” they said.

UPDATE 4:25 p.m.:
A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Investigations confirmed agents are on the scene.
The spokesperson told News Center 7 that the FBI was asked to “provide limited assistance to support our local law enforcement partners.”
The FBI added that Dayton Police Department is leading the investigation.

Dayton police and fire reminded the public they are still on the scene of a reported shooting in Dayton.
Residents near the 400 block of Linden Avenue are still asked to remain in their homes.
