Marshawn Boles is heading to prison to serve a seven-year sentence for his Dec. 23 crime spree that included firing shots into a house, being a convicted felon carrying a handgun, robbery and being an habitual offender.
Boles, 24, received a seven-year prison sentence on Thursday. He’ll have to serve just over five years of that sentence before he’s eligible for release. He already has served six months of pretrial incarceration credited to his sentence.
After he’s released from prison, Boles will serve one year under the supervision of community correction, followed by two years on probation.
On Dec. 23, Boles was supposed to receive a radio and $20 from a man in the 900 block of North 10th Street. In return, Boles was supposed to provide $40 worth of meth to the man. The exchange soured over the details of the sale, and the man went back inside his apartment. Boles later shot out the man’s front window.
Then Boles went to an apartment in the 1500 block of Broadway, where he robbed a man of a video game console and a television.
Boles was arrested later that night and has been in jail since his arrest, according to online jail records.
