JoJo Siwa is on board once again to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community for iHeartMedia’s annual “Can’t Cancel Pride” event.
The Teen YouTube star, who came out in 2021, has been tapped to host the June 15 virtual affair that will stream live from the iHeartRadio Theater Los Angeles. Viewers can watch the show as it happens or on demand through June 30 on iHeartRadio’s Facebook and YouTube pages, The Roku Channel, Revry, and The Advocate Channel.
Announced Thursday, the Pride month event will feature performances by Billy Porter, Ciara, Brandi Carlile, Kelsea Ballerini, Adam Lambert, Big Freedia, Hayley Kiyoko and Kesha.
Siwa hosted the 2022 show, with a lineup including Katy Perry, Sam Smith, Lizzo and Kim Petras.
The 19-year-old “Dance Moms” alum first performed on “Can’t Cancel Pride” in 2021 alongside Lil Nas X and Demi Lovato.
Carlile will receive the 2023 Elton John Impact Award for her humanitarian work with the music-focused Looking Out Foundation. John accepted the inaugural honor last year for his decades of fighting for the LGBTQ community. Lizzo performed a touching tribute to John before he accepted the award.
Now in its fourth year, the annual event has reportedly raised more than $14.3 million for LGBTQ+ organizations such as GLAAD, The Trevor Project, National Black Justice Coalition, and SAGE, among others.
“The return of ‘Can’t Cancel Pride’ is always an exciting time, as we bring iHeartMedia’s audiences together across broadcast, podcasts and social to celebrate the strength of the LGBTQ+ community,” the media company’s marketing chief Gayle Troberman said in Thursday’s announcement. “This year we shine a spotlight on how far we’ve come and how much more there is to do to fuel equality and inclusion in support of these important organizations making the world better for the LGBTQ+ community everyday around the nation.”
