As of Thursday, May 11, law enforcement was still looking for the persons responsible for sending a 17-year-old Wadley resident to the hospital with multiple bullet wounds.
Wadley Police officers responded to a call on North MLK Drive near Forestview Apartments around 6:55 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2.
The responding officer reported that upon arriving at the scene he saw the victim lying in the roadway and a large group of people standing near him. He reported that there was an apparent injury to the victim’s hand and a “a lot of blood at the lower part of his body.”
The officer provided medical aid until emergency medical services arrived.
Wadley Police Chief Paul Jordan said that he has some leads in the case is looking to make an arrest soon. Jordan said that the last he heard the victim was recovering from his wounds.
