A baby is officially on board for “Below Deck” alum Kate Chastain.
The Bravolebrity, known as the sassy chief stewardess on six seasons of the yacht-based reality series, revealed Friday that she has given birth to a bouncing baby boy.
In her Friday afternoon Instagram announcement, she’s photographed cradling the boy in her hospital room. In the caption, the happy mom revealed her son’s name, writing, “Hard Launch: Sullivan Cay.”
The father of the child, however, has not been identified.
Chastain went public with the pregnancy last December, telling People she was “absolutely thrilled to become a mother,” and later revealed she made the decision to raise her child as a single parent.
“I’m doing it solo and perhaps with some help, but I’m happy to do it alone,” she told Bravo kingpin Andy Cohen during a “Watch What Happens Live” after-show.
As far as her child-bearing, the 40-year-old party planner described it as “the easiest pregnancy ever.”
Outside of her pregnancy, the Melbourne Beach, Fla. native has kept busy since sailing away from “Below Deck” in 2020. She hosted and executive produced the zoom-style talk show “Bravo’s Chat Room” before stepping away in early 2021.
Most recently, she competed for a $250,000 grand prize as a contestant on Peacock’s reality competition series “The Traitors.” Hosted by Alan Cumming, the series pitted reality stars against everyday people for a murder mystery game in a 19th-century Scottish castle.
Chastain, who made it quite far despite sabotaging a group mission, said she was happy to depart the series.
“It was clear that I was never going to see that prize money most likely,” she told Vanity Fair. “The food in the highlands of Scotland is nothing to write home about, but it was good enough. I really missed martinis. I really missed a little bit of freedom after a while.”
