Bobby Moudy, a popular content creator on TikTok, has died. The father of three was 46 years old.
Moudy had more than 363,000 followers and 18.6 million likes on TikTok. “Just here to embarrass my daughter,” he wrote in his TikTok bio.
According to an online obituary, Moudy died at home in Brandon, Miss., on April 28. A GoFundMe fundraiser organized by Mandy Castle, a family friend, states he died by suicide.
“Bobby was full of life and laughs, but also weighed down by financial pressures,” Castle wrote in the GoFundMe description. “His wife, Jennifer, and their three children are in an emotional and financial crisis as he was their rock.”
As of the time of this writing, nearly 600 GoFundMe donors have contributed more than $62,000 toward the campaign’s goal of $75,000.
Moudy and his wife, whom he met while working at a restaurant in Hattiesburg, Miss., had been married for nearly 20 years. Together they had three children — Kaytlin Moudy, Maddox “Max” Moudy and Charleigh Moudy.
“He was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother,” the obituary reads. “He was happiest showing his love and support for his kids. He was often the loudest voice on the sidelines cheering on his children at their sporting and educational events. He approached life with a contagious enthusiasm and a smile.”
Moudy’s obituary also reveals he had a successful, two-decade career in sales and that he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping in his off time.
In a TikTok post, Kaytlin said her father was “the most amazing dad, brother, uncle, and friend” and “had such an impact on not only his family but those around him.”
“He will forever be remembered,” Kaytlin added. “We’re counting down the days until we see you again.”
Moudy is also survived by his father, his sisters, and nieces and nephews, his obit notes.
