A man gunned down on a Bronx street Wednesday night was embroiled in a fight with at least four teens before he was shot, cops said Friday.
Isaac Collins was on E. 176th St. near Anthony Ave. in Tremont about 5:30 p.m. when he was shot multiple times in the chest.
Four young men between 15 and 20-years-old dressed all in black were seen running from the scene, cops said. Three of the men were wearing ski masks.
EMS rushed Collins, 21, to St. Barnabas Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved. He lived in Longwood about two miles from where he was shot, cops said.
One witness recalled hearing four or five shots.
“When I came down, he was lying on the corner by the car bleeding,” the man said of Collins. “There were all kinds of people standing around doing nothing.”
There were no arrests as police worked to track down the shooter, cops said.
“He was a young guy just starting his life,” the witness said. “What a shame.”
The four suspects seen fleeing the scene are wanted for questioning, the NYPD said. They all had thin builds and are believed to be between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-9.
